About your therapist

Hello, my name is Jen!

I have been providing remedial massage therapy for over 6 years after graduating from the Australian Institute of Fitness in 2018. Though I have worked in several private clinics, I have found a lot of enjoyment within mobile massage where I have treated many people with different physical and neurological conditions throughout all stages of life.

I am currently studying Occupational Therapy at USQ to further my knowledge in the healthcare and wellness industry while applying the skills I learn to educate and support my massage clients.

I have been trained in relaxation, remedial massage, pregnancy massage, myofascial cupping, myofascial release and orthopaedic testing.

I love that I can work with so many different people, form genuine connections and provide an empathetic and therapeutic treatment that caters to the needs of my clients.

Benefits of Massage Therapy

01

Pain Relief

Regular massages can be a highly effective method for managing pain. By targeting specific problem areas and stiff muscles, the therapist can help loosen them and improve blood circulation. This process can alleviate pain associated with injuries, arthritis, and various other musculoskeletal conditions.

03

Injury Support & Prevention

Rehabilitating an injury can be exhausting and frustrating. While the primary goal of physical rehabilitation is to improve strength and flexibility, it often concludes before the affected area fully recovers to its pre-injury state.

Massage is a valuable supplement to standard injury rehabilitation procedures. By promoting circulatory movement and relaxing muscles, massage helps the body deliver more oxygen and nutrients to tissues and vital organs. This process enhances the flexibility of the rehabilitating area(s) and accelerates healing.

02

Immune Support

It has been widely researched that people experiencing higher levels of stress tend to fall ill more frequently. Stress can lead to numerous other negative effects, including poor sleep, an unhealthy diet, and a weakened immune system. Regular massage could help reduce stress and has been shown to naturally boost the immune system's cytotoxic capacity—its ability to combat bacteria and infections.

04

Postural Improvement

We are well and truly in the day and age of work-from-home and automation so, naturally, a vast majority of our population are working sedentary jobs. Poor posture can create significant tension in the back and neck, which is detrimental to our bodies. Proper body alignment has been shown to improve digestion and even breathing capacity.

Massage treatment helps your body reintroduce healthier movements through those postural affected areas. Regular massage can promote your body to gradually maintain a healthy posture, avoiding the poor alignment that may become second nature.
